Cheesy Dulce De Leche Cake Ingredients:
For the Dulce De Leche Cake:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup evaporated milk
1 lemon, juiced with zest and 1/2 cup hot water
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Dulce de Leche Icing:
2 cups evaporated milk
1 cup condensed milk
1 cup Cheddar Cheese, grated
2 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter, softened
How To Make Cheesy Dulce De Leche Cake:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
2. Add the evaporated milk, vegetable oil, lemon mixture, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix well using a hand mixer.
3. Pour batter in a lightly greased baking pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool.
4. In a saucepan, melt the butter then add the evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and egg yolks. Stir over low heat until well blended and thick. Cool completely.
5. Spread cooled icing over the cooled cake. Top with grated Cheddar cheese. Cut into serving size pieces.
