This is typically what I have for breakfast for most mornings. Since I am a nursing student I am usually in a hurry as I get up early and I don’t really have time to spend more than 5 minutes making breakfast. This smoothie is great for keeping me full while being healthy!
I am a busy college student this takes less than 5 minutes to make!!! If you buy bulk frozen fruit from costco + buy your veggies and freeze them (they won’t go bad don’t go bad) you can make this any time! Flax seeds last for a long time and I buy boxes of soy milk from Costco also!!
Recipe:
1 or 1/2 banana
1 o 1/2 date
3-4 strawberries or small handful
1/2 cup blueberries or small handful
1/2 cup spinach or small handful
1/2 tsp flax seeds (optional)
1/4 carrot or 1 carrot stick
1/2 celery stalk
2 cup soy milk ( or other milk but use non dairy for healthier option)
5-7 almonds
NO added sugar needed the dates are plenty sweet! If you want it more sweet add more dates 🙂
Less sugar: Put 1/2 banana and 1/2 date or remove all together.
Other additions: You can also add 1/4 cup oatmeal (keeps you full longer and more calories!)
