Ingredients
Chicken-1 kg
Flour-1/2 cup
Dry red chilli- 5 or 6 nos
Fennel seed-1 tbsp
Garlic -7 or 8
Ginger-1 medium
Pearl onion-9 or 10
Green chilli-6 or 7 nos
Lemon – ½ slice
Grated coconut-1/2 cup
Garam masala-1 tbsp
Pepper powder-1 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tbsp
Oil –for frying
Salt to taste
Method
First we wash and clean the chicken and set it a side
Then we grind the dry red chilli, fennel seed, garlic, ginger and pearl onion into fine paste,
keep it in a side.
Then we take a bowl, mix the flour ,garam masala, pepper powder ,turmeric powder,salt and
lemon juice well
Again we add the chicken pieces into the masala bowl and mix well,keep a side for half an
hour .
Heat oil in a pan add grated coconut and mix and saute till the colour change into golden
brown.
Again we heat oil in a pan add green chilli and curry leaves saute well and keep it in a side
Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan add marinated chicken pieces , fry well on low flame.
Once the chicken pieces are fried, add the roasted coconut mix, and fried green chilli to it,
and mix well
Then we serve and enjoy the taste of kerala style tasty chicken fry..
