Serves – 4
Ingredients :
Chicken – 700 grams
Refined Oil / Groundnut Oil / Olive Oil – 4 Table Spoon ( Tbl Spn)
Curd – 2 -3 Tblspn
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 Tspn
Chopped Garlic – 8-10 pods
Onion Paste – 2 medium size
Cumin Seed Powder ( Jeera Powder)- 1 Tspn
Coriander Seed powder ( Dhaniya Powder ) – 1 Tspn
Green Chillies – 4-5
Turmeric Powder – 1 Tspn
Salt – According to taste
Sugar – 1 Tspn
Black Pepper Powder – 1 TSpn
Whole Spices :
Cumin Seeds ( Jeera) – 1 TSpn
Black Cardamom -1
Green Cardamom – 2-3
Bay Leaves – 2
Cinnamon Stick -1 inch
Chopped Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
Hot Water to make the gravy
Step -1
Marinate the chicken with curd and 1 Tspn Ginger Garlic Paste. Keep it aside
Step -2
Heat the Refined Oil or Olive Oil and add all the whole spices. Then add the chopped garlic and saute for 30 seconds. Add the onion paste and saute for another minute. Now one by one add the ginger garlic paste, cumin seed powder , coriander powder , green chillies and turmeric powder.Mix the ingredients well and cook for a few seconds.
Step -3
Add Salt, Black Pepper powder and the Sugar . Now add the marinated chicken and mix and cook for sometime. Cover the Lid and Cook at a low medium flame for 10 minutes. Open the Lid and check the chicken. When the Chicken turns tender add garam masala powder.
At this stage you can add half a glass of hot water to increase the gravy according to your requirement. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot with Rice or any Indian breads like Chapati, Roti or Naan.
