How to make Chettinad Chicken Chukka:
Ingredients:
– Chopped Onion – 1
– Slitted green chilli – 1
– Chopped tomato – 1
– Cloves – 5
– Cardamom – 4
– Bay leaf – 2
– Cinnamon – 1inch
– Turmeric powder – 1tsp
– Chilli powder – 1tsp
– Pepper powder – as req.
– Chettinad masala powder – 2tbsp
– Cumin seed – 1tsp
– Ginger garlic paste – 1cup
– Lemon extract – 1tsp
– Curd – 1cup
– Oil – as req.
– Salt to taste
– Chicken – 250gms
Method of marination:
– In a vessel, add chicken, curd, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder.
– Mix well and rest it for 20mins.
Method of preparation:
– In a pan, add oil & wait till it gets heated.
– Bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and wait till it crackles.
– Then, add cumin seed, chopped onion, slitted green chilli and saute until onion turns golden brown colour.
– Add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell goes out.
– Add chopped tomato and saute until tomatoes mushy.
– Then, add the marinated chicken and mix well.
– Add salt to taste, chettinad masala powder and mix well.
– Add little water and mix again.
– Close with a lid and cook for 5mins in low flame.
– Open the lid after 5mins and mix once.
– Sprinkle some pepper powder, add lemon extract and mix well.
– Garnish with coriander leaves.
– Chettinad chicken chukka is ready to serve hot…
