For me, its an Aidells chicken apple sausage, a heaping pile of Kruegermanns sauerkraut, and nuking either a bag of that steam in the bag broccoli or one of those mircowave ready sweet potatoes. Tossing this together might not be the most satisfying thing in the entire world, but its easy and its cheaper than ordering takeout, making ordering takeout actually LESS co.nvenient than just eating this lame paleo meal. Basically Make it harder to NOT do it than to do it. 2. Get there gradually. Focus more on what you want to eat rather than what you cant eat. Start by adding more of the stuff you know you want to eat veggies! onto your dinner plate, then eat it FIRST. If I ate my veggies and yummy paleo stuff, I would reward myself with something not so paleo. That doesnt sound like it makes sense, and I know it seems like its defeating the purpose, but when I was transitioning into eating paleo, I was more coerned with making it a habit rather than doing it right. Once I started rewarding myself for making good choices, my idea of what a good reward would be changed. Eventually, I ended up naturally phasing out my non paleo reward. Once it was more of a habit to make healthier food choices, it started to feel WEIRD to eat garlic bread or spaghetti or something right after making the awesome choice that made me feel good. And eventually, eating the veggies felt rewarding enough on its own to be an actual habit rather than a co.nscious though decision. 3. Stop thinking its hard. Theres probably tons of food out there that youre currently enjoying regularly that you maybe dont even realize is 100pc totally paleo. Like baco.n! And eggs! And avocados! If you focus on the food you really like and the meals that you dont really have to make many swaps to make it paleo, eating well just feels very normal. When you eat something thats not paleo, dont feel like you chaeted or failed or anything like that. Dont think of this as a religion or a regimen. Its just life, and youre just choosing to make healthier choices in your daily life. And lets get real, some days are gonna call for some cake or a slice of pizza. When those days come, just enjoy them. The key thing to NOT do in those situations is think well, I messed up this day, so I might as well just keep eating more pizza, and then I might as well eat this spaghetti and then this brownie and whatever, Ill just start over next week. Keep in mind that youre 100pc able to make choices any time of the day you want if you eat a pizza of pizza in the morning mm, breakfast pizza, you didnt ruin your day. You can actually still choose eat paleo food the rt of the day. Tossing your hands up and saying you failed thats counter productive and feels awful. Dont do that. Embrace and stand behind every choice you make, even if you chose to eat a doughnut.
