BAKLAVA
Baklava is a sweet dessert made of layers of phyllo filled with ground/chopped walnuts and pistachios, soaked with honey syrup. This Turkish dessert is very popular in the middle eastern countries. Follow this recipe to learn how to make authentic baklava from scratch.

INGREDIENT:
FOR FILLING

* 250 g of Roasted pistachio
* 100 g of roasted almond
* 1 tbsp of granulated sugar
* 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
Blend all the ingredient together until become rough ground nuts. set a side
Put the nuts as much as you prefer…Baklava will taste great with more nuts
FOR DOUGH

* 2 cup all purpose flour
* 1/2 cup of milk
* 1/4 cup of olive oil/ cooking oil
* a pinch of salt
* 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder ( in video was 1/2tsp was mistake)
* 1 egg
Mix all together with hand until become a dough, set for 15 mins and make a small ball, sprinkle with corn flour and flour mixed, flatten until get tissue sheet.
FOR HONEY SYRUP

* 1/2 cup or granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup of honey
* 1/2 cup of water
* 1 cinnamon stick
* 2/3 slices of lemon ( can use the juice , up of your choice)
PLUS YOU NEED.

* 1 small bowl of melted butter
* mixture of 1 cup of corn flour with 1/4 cup of purpose flour, to sprinkle between dough sheet, this will help dough sheet to not stick together.
DIRECTIONS:-
1. Filling nuts, add all the ingredient blend together until get rough ground nuts.
2. For the Phyllo Sheet, mix together all the dough ingredients and make a dough, most probably you will not need water for the dough, but if you need you can use a little water keep kneading the dough until it stops sticking to the pan, let the dough rest for 15 minutes, then divide into 15 to 18 pieces make phyllo sheets as shown in the video, make a small ball and flatten until get a phyllo sheets Or use ready made phyllo sheets.
3. Baking, use around tray(rectangle or square) first brushing with melted butter the tray then step up a phyllo sheet for 2 sheet and brushing with melted butter, 6 in the bottom then add the ground nuts and then 3 sheet layer after, add ground nuts again then finally layer 6 at the top( brushing with melted butter every 2 sheet – butter will give your baklava a nice color and crispy For a perfect taste of baklava fill in as much nuts as possible)
Bake on preheat oven 190° C for 50-60 minutes
4. take all the syrup ingredients to the pan, .bring it to boiling, let it cool before using .because we don’t want our baklava to get soggy. hot syrup will make baklava soft .
5. Pour sugar syrup on baklava .
6. let baklava sit in sugar syrup for 2 to 4 hours for best results.
