Tres Leches Recipe:
Cake Batter:
Eggs (separated) – 5 nos
Sugar – ½ Cup + ½ Cup
Maida – 1 Cup
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Salt – ¼ tsp
Milk – ⅓ Cup
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Milk Mixture:
Condensed Milk – ¾ Cup
Milk – ¾ Cup
Cream – ¼ Cup
Decoration:
Whipped Cream – 100 grams
Strawberry
Cooking Instructions:
Cake Batter:
1. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
2. Beat the egg whites with the sugar. Whip it until it forms stiff peaks.
3. In another bowl, combine the maida, baking powder, and salt.
4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar until pale and at ribbon consistency.
5. Add the flour mixture to the yolks and whisk again.
6. Fold in the egg whites gently into the egg yolks.
7. Make streaks in the batter using a skewer to remove any air bubbles.
8. Bake at 180c for 30 minutes.
Milk Mixture:
1. Combine all the ingredients together and whisk.
Making the Cake:
1. Once the cake has cooled down, make several holes on it using a skewer or toothpick.
2. Soak it with the milk mixture liquid. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
3. Decorate with whipped cream and strawberries. Serve cold.
