Honey Lemon Chicken Recipe:
Marination:
Chicken Thigh Boneless – 500 grams
Salt – ¾ tsp
Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Garlic Powder – ½ tsp
Paprika Powder – ½ tsp
Maida – ½ Cup
Other Ingredients:
Oil – 2 tsp
Water – ½ Cup
Garlic (grated) – 1 tbsp
Honey – 2 tbsp
Soy Sauce – 2 tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 no
Butter – 3 tbsp
Lemon Slices – 5 nos
Cooking Instructions:
1. Marinate the chicken with a mixture of salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika powder.
2. Coat each piece of chicken in Maida.
3. Heat oil in a pan and sear the chicken on high heat until golden brown on both sides. Remove the chicken from the pan.
4. Add water into the same pan and bring it to a simmer. Add grated garlic, soy sauce and honey. Mix well to combine.
5. Add butter and lemon juice. Turn off the heat and stir to combine.
6. Place the chicken in a pan or an oven safe tray and add the sauce on top of the chicken. Arrange the lemon slices on the chicken pieces.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°c for 20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
8. Spoon the sauce over the chicken pieces. Serve with herb garlic rice.
Cooking Tips:
1. Remove the seeds from the lemon slices. Otherwise, this could give a bitter taste to the dish.
2. Turn off the heat when adding the lemon juice in the pan itself.
