During Navratri try this instant, quick and easy Sevai Kheer / Shevayanchi Kheer recipe that is prepared from vermicelli, milk, sugar and chopped dry fruits. This is a popular Indian milk pudding that is enjoyed during special occasions. It is a very easy to make Indian sweet dessert. You can make this sweet as an offering during one of the nine days of Navratri.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp Ghee
1 Cup Vermicelli (Sevai)
Cashew Nuts
Raisins
1 Big Bowl Milk
4-5 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
2 tbsp Milk Powder
Chopped Almonds & Pistachios
Method:
– In a pan heat some desi ghee.
– Then add vermicelli, cashews and raisins. Roast everything till it changes color.
– Once the vermicelli changes its color, add milk. Give a stir.
– Then add sugar, cardamom powder and milk powder. Stir well.
– Add chopped almonds and pistachios. Let the kheer come to a boil.
– When the kheer thickens, switch off the flame.
– While serving garnish the sevai kheer with some chopped dry fruits.
