Here is a super quick and ultra delicious dessert that has a bit of a twist for your holiday table! This crunchy pumpkin cobbler is a fantastic combination of pumpkin pie and streusel topped cobbler. It is super easy to throw together with some standard pantry staples and it is very economical. This makes a large pan of dessert. Enough to feed a lot of hungry people for a little bit of money! Best of all this is really delicious! All you need to top it off is a little whipped cream and you are ready to go!
This is technically what could be called a “dump cake”. I personally hate that term. It isn’t very appealing and it alludes to the fact that all the ingredients are “dumped” into one pan and mixed or layered together. This is similar but not the same. This cobbler starts with a pumpkin custard and it is topped off with a topping of yellow cake mix, pecans and melted butter.
I was really pleased with the final outcome of this delicious cobbler. It does not taste anything like a dump cake and it is the best cross between a pumpkin pie and an apple crisp. The topping is crumbly and delicious like an apple crisp and the bottom is like a crustless pumpkin pie.
I hope you will give this crunchy pumpkin cobbler a try and I hope you love it!
Happy Eating!
