Sweet and spicy chicken sandwich ?
This is one of my favorite ways to make a healthier style fried chicken sandwich at home. Absolutely killer of a cleaner cheat meal or just a fun dinner with the family!
In a medium size bowl add your chicken that has been pounded out(1-2 breasts), cover in buttermilk/whole milk and let marinate for 1 hour minimum or overnight.
In a large reusable bag or bowl add
(Enough mix to coat 2 chicken breasts)
1/2 cup heaping flour
2-3 tsp baking soda
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Now we are going to toss our chicken in and make sure it’s coated.
Our air fryer is already pre-heated at 390 degrees, chicken goes in.
Lightly spray with some oil and we’re going in about 7 minutes per side!
In a big bowl add equal parts honey and sriracha(1/8 cup of each).
Now gently toss and coat your breast.
