Ingredients:
Plain yogurt: ¾ cup
Garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Ginger paste: 1 tbsp
Coriander powder: 2 tsp
Cumin powder: 2 tsp
Garam masala: 2 tsp
Red chili powder: 1 tsp
Kashmiri chili powder: 1 tsp
Black pepper powder: ½ tsp
Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
Cardamom: 4
Black cardamom: 1
Bay leaves: 2 small
Cloves: 8
Shahi jeera: 1 tsp
Fried onions (Beresta): 1 cup
Salt: 2 tsp, to taste
Cashews: 10
Almonds: 10
Desiccated coconut: 4 tbsp
Milk: ¾ cup
Chicken: 1 kg
Mint: 3 tbsp, chopped
Coriander leaves: ¼ cup, chopped
Green chilies: 7-8
Lime juice: 1 tsp
Ghee: ½ cup
Instructions:
In a large pot, add plain yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, red chili powder, Kashmiri chili powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, cardamom, black cardamom, bay leaves, cloves, shahi jeera, and fried onions (Beresta).
In a blender, blend cashews, almonds, desiccated coconut, and milk until smooth. Mix this blend with the ingredients in the pot.
Add salt if needed, then add the chicken and mix well.
Add chopped coriander leaves, chopped mint, green chilies, lime juice, and ghee to the pot and mix well.
Cover and marinate for 1 hour.
Cover the pot with aluminum foil, sealing it tightly.
Cook over high heat for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 50 minutes.
