SUMMARY
– Start your day with a glass or two of water before reaching for coffee, tea or anything else
– Oatmeal helps to reduce inflammation, which is a great tip for anyone experiencing acne — you can add coconut oil to help boost metabolism, balance hormones, and absorb vitamins A and E, which are essential for skin, hair and nail health
– Chia seeds and flax seeds can be used as toppings and ingredients in oatmeal, acai bowls and smoothies, which supply an amazing source of vitamins
– In my smoothies, I opt for coconut water instead of milk products because it is great for staying hydrated — an important factor in healthy skin
– Spinach is high in antioxidants, vitamin C and E, and beta carotene (which helps with repairing cells in your skin)
– Salmon is a source of omega-3 fatty acids, which helps with the overall health and moisture of skin and hair
– For every cup of coffee you have, make sure you drink two glasses of water
– Avocados are an excellent food for nourishment and moisture, and they contain vitamins B and E
– Dark chocolate is an amazing source of antioxidants and great for your skin, but make sure you limit your portion size and stick to at least 70% dark chocolate
SMOOTHIE RECIPE
– 1 cup coconut water
– 1 big handful of spinach
– 1/2 of a banana
– 1/2 cup frozen berries

CHICKPEA RECIPE
– Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
– Toss chickpeas in olive oil and spread evenly over prepared baking sheet. Roast in oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even roasting.
– Meanwhile, in a medium bowl mix together the “Dorito” seasoning ingredients (see below)
– When the chickpeas are finished roasting, immediately transfer them to the bowl with the seasoning, and toss to combine.
