Here’s the recipe – it has such a complex flavor – both sweet and savory while crunchy and chewy
Ingredients:
2 broccoli crowns
1-2 bacon strips
1/2 cup shredded cheese (I’m using sharp cheddar)
1/2 red onion
1/3 cup slivered almonds
1/3 cup raisins
(dressing)
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
Directions:
Chop the broccoli into chunky pieces and place in a bowl. Then finely chop up the 1/2 onion and set aside. If needed cook your bacon and once cooled, chop into bits. Take all your salad ingredients (broccoli, chopped onions, bacon bits, cheese, almonds, and raisins) and toss together. For the dressing, whisk the mayo, vinegar, and sugar with a fork until it’s smooth. Then pour over your vegetables and mix well. Enjoy!
