Paired with a good salad, this makes a delicious keto dinner. The pie has no eggs nor cheese which is pretty unusual for keto dough but it makes it all the better because it resembles regular pies. The combination of beef and vegetables along with the spices added enhances the flavour of the meat perfecting the taste of this dish. One pie is less than 6g net carb which makes it ideal for you ketogenic lifestyle. Enjoy 🙂
Ingredients:

Filling:

1 lb minced beef
1 chopped onion
1/2 cup green peppers
1/2 cup red peppers
1/2 cup yellow peppers
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp paprika
Dough:
*******
1 1/2 cup almond flour
1/3 cup coconut flour
1/2 tsp xanthan gum
4 tbsp psyllium husk
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup boiling water
Directions:

– Mix well all filling ingredients together by hand.
– Mix dough ingredients stirring until dough forms
– Prepare sheets of aluminum foil spraying them with oil to prevent sticking.
– Shape dough in circles filling with meat mixture, fold dough over filling to close pies. You may need to wet hands to prevent dough from sticking while shaping.
– Wrap individual pies in foil and place on baking sheet in an oven proof pan.
– Bake pies on 375 F for about an hour, flipping over after 30 minutes.
– Unwrap pies and serve.
Suggested quantities make about 6 pies.
