Delicious BUTTER CHICKEN Recipe


DELICIOUS BUTTER CHICKEN

1 chicken breast cubed (serves 2 people)

Prepare the marinade for chicken:
Sookha dhaniya (ground coriander) 1 tsp
Zeerah powder (ground cumin) 1 tsp
Tandoori masala 2 tsp
Namak (salt) ½ tsp
Kashmiri Laal mirch (Kashmiri red chili powder) 1 tsp
Jaifal powder (nutmeg) ½ tsp
Oil ¼ cup
Lemon juice ⅛ cup
Dahi (yogurt) ½ cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp

Mix all the above ingredients in the boneless chicken.

Leave the chicken in the marinade for 30 minutes, then, cook it on medium-high flame for 7-8 minutes. Once it’s cooked, set it aside on a separate plate.

Heat a pan on medium flame with ½ cup butter.
Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste whilst butter is melting.
Once, the butter has melted, add onion, green chilly, and a bay leaf. Add water, as necessary until the onion mixture is slightly golden. Next, add the following:
2 tbsp tomato puree + ⅓ cup water
Namak (salt) ½ tsp
Kashmiri Laal mirch powder (Kashmiri red chili powder) 1 tsp
Sookha dhaniya (ground coriander) 1 tsp
Zeerah powder (ground cumin) 1 tsp
Cheeni (sugar) 1 tsp

Cook on medium-high flame for 3-4 minutes
Then add the prepared chicken.
Mix for another 2-3 minutes on medium flame then add ½ cup water and cook until oil comes up then add ½ cup (170 g) cream.

Mix, cover for 3-5 minutes and let it simmer on low flame. Then, add 1 tbsp ghee and garnish with coriander leaves.
