In this video, learn to make chicken masala easily at home. Step by step process of how to make chicken masala is shown.
This is the recipe for dry chicken masala but if you prefer chicken masala gravy then add more water to it & cook.
Ingredients to make masala chicken
4 big tomatoes cut into big pieces
Marinate the chicken
500 gm chicken
Make a paste with 10-12 garlic cloves, 1-inch ginger & 1 green chili
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
salt to taste
1 tsp chicken masala powder
1/4 cup curd/yogurt
1 tsp lemon juice
To make the chicken masala
3 cloves
1 green cardamom
1-inch cinnamon
2 onions sliced (medium size)
chopped coriander leaves
1 green chili
Grind the tomatoes & keep it aside.
Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients mentioned under marinate the chicken.
Heat 3 tbsp oil & sauté the whole spices.
Saute onion slices until golden.
Add the marinated chicken.
Cook until it starts to leave oil from the sides.
Add the tomato paste.
Cook until chicken is cooked completely.
Add water as & when required.
Add green chili & coriander leaves.
Cook for 2 minutes.
Chicken masala is ready to serve.
Serve chicken masala hot with Roti/Naan.
