Spicy Chicken Roast/Chicken Varuval | Chicken Recipes
Ingredients
– Chicken 1/2kg
– Onion 3 finely chopped
– Curry Leaves
– Turmeric Powder 1/4tsp
– Salt to Taste
– Lemon Juice 1/2slice
– Coriander Leaves chopped
– Oil 2-3tbsp
For Ground Masala
– Cinnamon 1
– Cloves 5-6
– Coriander Seeds 1tbsp
– Pepper 1tsp
– Cumin/Jeera Seeds 1tsp
– Dry Red Chilli 10-12
Method
1) In a pan dry roast cinnamon, cloves, coriander seeds, jeera and dry red chilli for a minute or two.
2) In a kadai add oil, onion and curry leaves. saute it till light brown color.
3) Add chicken and saute for two minutes. Add turmeric powder and salt. mix well. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for two minutes.
4) Close the lid and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame. Add ground masala add little water, mix well and cook for another 10-15minutes on medium flame.
5) Roast for 5 minutes and add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well. Turn off stove and serve hot.
