Carrot Payasam as it is called in South India or Ghajar Ka Kheer as it is called in North India is a very easy, quick and simple dish. It is nutritious as well with the goodness of milk and carrot condensed into it. It does not use much sugar as well.
A different and tasty dessert to prepare when some guests drop by at short notice. If you have condensed milk in hand it is even quicker to make. Cook this recipe and surprise your guests
Ingredients
For blending
Carrot – 2 Medium diced or chopped and boiled
Cashew – 5 or 6 soaked for 1 hour
Milk – 2 cups
Clarified butter/Ghee – 1 Tbsp
Cashew – 5 or 6 split and broken
Sugar – 4 -5 Tbsp
Cardamom powder – Quarter Tsp
Saffron – 1 pinch (Optional)
Almonds and Pista for garnishing
