Traditional chicken recipe – chinthamani chicken
Ingredients:
Chicken – 500 grams
Shallot onion – 15
Whole red chilli – 25 count chilli
Sesame oil – 1/4 cup
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – few
Salt – 1.5 tsp
Method
1. Take 25 whole red chilli, remove the seeds and cut into small pieces
2. Add 1/4 cup of sesame oil to a pan, few curry leaves and 15 shallot onions (diced)
3. Saute until onion becomes soft
4. Add the 25 whole red chilli (seed removed and chopped)
5. Saute for 3 minutes
6. Add 500 grams of chicken, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1.5 teaspoon salt and 1/2 cup water
7. Mix well
8. Cover and boil for 5 mins
9. Mix well
10. Cook until all excess water evaporates
11. Chintamani chicken is ready
