Ingredients
Chicken-1 kg
Almonds-9
Whole red chillies-3
Green cardamom-4
Cloves-4
Cinnamon-3 small pieces
Poppyseeds-1 tbsp
Ginger-3 pieces
Garlic-6 cloves
Water- ¼ cup
Oil-half cup
Salt to taste
Turmeric- ¼ tsp
Coriander powder-3 tbsp
Fried onions-5 tbsp
Tomatoes-4-5(cut into slices)
Garam masala powder- ½ tbsp
Water- ½ cup
Instructions
In a pan add almonds, whole red chillies, cloves, cinnamon, green cardamoms and poppy seeds. Dry roast for 1 min. on low heat
Set aside and let it cool down.
Blend into a paste after adding ginger and garlic and ¼ cup of water.
In a wok heat oil and add chicken. Cook on high flame for 4-5 mins.
Add salt, turmeric, blended paste and coriander powder. Mix well.
Cook on medium flame until oil separates and masala coats the chicken pieces.
Add fried onions and tomatoes.
Cover and cook until tomatoes are soft.
Add water and garam masala powder. Give it a mix. Cover and cook on low flame until chicken is tender (10-15 Mins.)
Enjoy with tandoori naan or Naan.
