Achari Chicken / Achari Murg is a delectable chicken recipe with the bursting flavors from the pickling spices. It’s a quick and flavorful recipe, it’s is a Pakistani version of Achari Chicken.
This recipe is also made in North India as Achari Murgh where they make it with mustard oil with similar ingredients but every recipe is different with different style of cooking. This is a great combination with Roti’s or Naan even goes well with a simple ghee rice or white rice. Great for any get together or party’s to impress your guests.
Ingredients:
Chicken – 1kg
Onion – 3 large ( 450gms )
Green chilli’s – 10 ( as per your taste )
Yoghurt / Dahi – 1 cup
Oil – 1/2 cup ( discard the excess oil after cooking )
Ginger garlic paste – 2tbsp
Fenugreek / Methi seeds – 1tsp
Kalonji / Nigella seeds – 1tsp
Fennel / saunf – 1tsp
Kashmiri Chilli pwdr – 2tbsp
Turmeric pwdr – 1tsp
Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup chopped
Salt – as per taste
Note :
– Remove the extra oil after cooking.
– Add a little m water to the gravy to adjust the consistency of the gravy as per your choice.
– Use only fresh yoghurt / Dahi to avoid the gravy from becoming sour.
