Chicken curry
Ingredients
Chicken curry – 1 kg
Onion – 3 nos
Shallots – 20 to 22 nos
Ginger – 1 nos
Tomatoes – 2 nos
Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
Mustard seed – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 or 2 tsp
Oil – 3 or 4 tbsp
Method
Firstly, we have to clean and wash the chicken
Drain and set aside.
Take a pan add chicken pieces, turmeric powder and salt .
Mix them well with hands and marinated for half an hour.
Then crush ginger and garlic set aside
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed ,let it crackle.
Add crushed ginger and garlic .saute them well.
Then add the chopped onion and saute them well.
Then add the chopped shallots and green chilli , sauté them well.
Add curry leaves and saute them well.
Add some turmeric powder and sauté them well.
Add red chilli powder,coriander powder,pepper powder and pepper powder.
Saute well till the raw smell disappears.
Add chopped tomatoes and saute till they become soft.
Add marinated chicken pieces and sauté them well.
Cover and cook till the chicken becomes soften.
Remove the lid and pour in some water and mix them well.
Cook for 8 to 9 minutes, covered.
Take the pan off the heat and set it aside.
Serve the delicious chicken curry appam.
