Beef Curry Masala is a popular dish in Pakistani cuisine. It is made with tender beef chunks cooked in a flavorful spicy tomato-based curry. Here is a simple recipe to make Beef Curry Masala at home in Pakistani style.
Ingredients:
– 500 grams beef, cut into small cubes
– 2 onions, finely chopped
– 3 tomatoes, pureed
– 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon cumin powder
– 1 teaspoon coriander powder
– 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
– Salt to taste
– Oil for cooking
– Fresh coriander leaves, for garnishing
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a large pot or pressure cooker over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste to the pot and cook for a minute until fragrant.
4. Add the beef cubes to the pot and cook until they are lightly browned on all sides.
5. Add the pureed tomatoes to the pot and cook for a few minutes until the oil separates from the curry.
6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to the pot. Mix well to coat the beef with the spices.
7. Cover the pot and cook the beef on medium-low heat until it becomes tender. If using a pressure cooker, cook for about 15-20 minutes after the first whistle.
8. Once the beef is tender, add garam masala powder to the pot and mix well.
9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
You can adjust the spice levels according to your taste preferences. This Beef Curry Masala is best enjoyed with some fresh naan bread or steamed rice.
