Today, I want to share with you the best liver detox smoothie recipe. If you’re dealing with hypoglycemia, fatty liver disease, diabetes, or you just want to lose weight, this is a good green smoothie that you could start your day with.
Parsley just has a high amount of vitamin A, it has other nutrients like zinc and manganese and magnesium. I’ve done other videos on the foods that supply zinc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yoyYQDKfkU&t=3s and why you need it and also with magnesium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWl_NB6qQ08&t=2s So be sure and check those out. So we definitely want some parsley in our smoothie, because personally just has a natural liver cleansing effect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZcQzvElki8&t=5s.
Another ingredient we need in our liver detox smoothie is beet greens. Now I have beets grown in my garden. They have just an enormous amount of potassium. I’ve done a video on that. So go check that out to learn more about why we need potassium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgPYaXTgX_8&t=22s
And also the more you learn about potassium, the more you can efficiently talk to your doctor when he’s recommending you to not have potassium in your diet. And then we have some organic purple kale. If you’ve been watching my videos, you know I love cruciferous, because the word cruciferous comes from the word crucifix because the flowers that bloom on these plants are a perfect little cross.
Now what we’re going to add to this is some nutmeg. nutmeg has an anti inflammatory effect. And then I have some cinnamon, so about a fourth a teaspoon of nutmeg, maybe a fourth to a half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and the others it’s just a handful. I’ve added water as our liquid, I do not want you using juice or anything that’s very sugary. So I’m using water now water does need to be purified. So if you do not have a good water purifier. Now if you’re dealing with hypoglycemia, or diabetes, you just have a slow metabolism, I would use stevia as your sweetener. If you don’t have an issue with that you could add an apple or maybe a half of a frozen banana just to kind of take the bitterness edge off, and so that you can enjoy this drink.
Now, if you’re thinking and I’m not going to go through all that trouble, I do sometimes use a superfood powder https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/my-favorites/gut-health-with-amare/ because it has the beets, it has the greens it has all of the vegetables and fruits that are necessary to build a healthy microbiome. And when we have a healthy gut, our liver says okay, I can work with that now. So this is another option if you’d rather go the easy way.
