I unveil my secret vegan body building smoothie recipe that I use to increase the nutrition of my entire family (and optionally can be used for weight gain as well if you include protein powder!)
First and foremost we have bananas, which are a great cheap food full of nutrients that is readily available virtually everywhere.
Then we have frozen berries, of which when you buy in bulk are a fantastic money saving, nutrition-giving option.
I do go into further detail about which berries are best in terms of antioxidant level in another video.
Then we have soymilk which is a nearly perfect alternative to cow’s milk. I love everything about soymilk.
Furthermore we include peanut butter for it’s high-density and masking flavors.
I usually put in hemp protein at this point for it’s obvious superiority of nutrition (not necessarily absorption of which I have yet to research!)
Flax seeds for their immense nutrition, along with perfect compliments of hemp seeds for balance and caloric/macro density.
Vitamin D3 for us northerners!
Finally water! Yes it is a nutrient that most Americans are lacking !
