Burmese Beef Khowsuey
Serves 6-8
Recipe in English:
Ingredients:
-Cooking oil ¾ Cup
-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 250 gms
-Beef boneless small cubes ½ kg
-Adrak paste (Ginger paste) ½ tbs
-Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) ½ tbs
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp
-Darchini (Cinnamon stick) 1
-Badi elaichi (Black cardamom) 1
-Laung (Cloves) 4-5
-Sabut kali mirch (Black peppercorns) 7-8
-Dhania powder (Coriander powder) 2 tbs
-Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tbs or to taste
-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
-Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
-Pani (Water) 2 Cups or as required
-Baisan (Gram flour) sifted 1 & ½ Cups
-Khopra (Desiccated coconut) 100 gms
-Coconut milk powder 50 gms (1 packet)
-Pani (Water) 5-7 Cups or as required
-Cooking oil for frying
-Samosa patti cut in strips as required
-Lehsan (Garlic) sliced 14-15 cloves
Assembling:
-Spaghetti 1 Packet (boiled as per pack’s instruction)
-Baisan curry
-Cooked beef curry
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander)
-Hara pyaz (Green onion)
-Fried garlic
-Namak (Salt) to sprinkle
-Lal mirch (Red chili) crushed
-Fried samosa patti
-Chips
-Lemon juice
-Anda (Egg) boiled
Directions:
-In pot,add cooking oil,onion and fry until translucent.
-Add beef boneless small cubes and mix well.
-Add ginger paste,garlic paste,cumin seeds,cinnamon stick,black cardamom,cloves,black peppercorns and mix well.
-Add coriander powder,red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
-Add water and mix well,cover and cook on low flame until meat is tender (approx. 1 hour).
-In pot,add gram flour,desiccated coconut,coconut milk powder,water and whisk well.
-Turn on the flame and cook on low flame until thickens (approx. 1 hour) and keep whisking in between.
-In frying pan,add cooking oil and fry samosa patti until golden brown & set aside.
-In same frying pan,heat cooking oil and fry garlic until crispy & golden & set aside.
Assembling:
-On serving dish,add boiled spaghetti,baisan curry,cooked beef curry,fresh coriander,green onion,fried garlic,salt,red chili crushed,fried samosa patti,chips,lemon juice,boiled egg & serve!

-Beef boneless small cubes dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Adrak paste,lehsan paste,zeera,darchini,badi elaichi,laung aur sabut kali mirch dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Dhania powder,lal mirch powder,namak aur haldee powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Pani dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein aur halki ancch per gosht gul janay taka paka lein (approx. 1 hour).
-Pot mein baisan,khopra,coconut milk powder aur pani dal ker ache tarhan whisk ker lein.
-Chulha on karein aur halki ancch per garha hunay tak paka lein (approx. 1 hour) aur bech bech mein whisk kertay rahein.
-Frying pan mein cooking oil dal dein aur samosa patti ko golden brown hunay tak fry ker lein & side per rakh dein.
-Us he frying pan mein cooking oil garam karein aur lehsan dal ker crispy & golden hunay tak fry ker lein & side per rakh dein.
Assembling:
-Serving dish mein boiled spaghetti,baisan curry,cooked beef curry,hara dhania,hara pyaz,fried lehsan, namak,lal mirch crushed,fried samosa patti,chips,lemon juice aur boiled egg dal ker serve karein.
