This video is a easy recipe butter chicken. This gravy has also been smoked to obtain the perfect restaurant style butter chicken taste.

Butter chicken ingredients:

1 kg Boneless Chicken
3 onions chopped, 3 tomatoes chopped, 1 lemon, 4 green chillies, fresh cream, coriander (garnish only), 3 – 4 dried kashmiri red chillies, 15 – 20 Cashew nuts, ginger garlic paste (2-3 tsp.), 1 tsp. sugar (for the curry)
Spices (2 to 3 tsps. each) – Cumin (jeera) powder, Cumin (jeera) seeds, Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander (dhaniya) powder, turmeric (haldi) powder, garam masala powder, dried fenugreek (kasuri methi), Dry Mango (amchur) powder.
Salt, Butter, Oil, Water
Charcoal (for butter chicken smoking process)

Procedure for butter chicken recipe:

1) Butter chicken marination – Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces. Add salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder (3 tsps.) and turmeric (haldi) powder (1 – 2 tsps.). Add lemon juice to the chicken and mix well. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
2) Pan Fry the chicken pieces in oil and keep aside.
3) Butter chicken paste preparation – Add oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions and stir. Add cashew nuts and green chillies and stir. Add the ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes and stir. Add the Kashmiri chillies and cumin seeds. Add a little water to this, cover and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Let it cool down. Add this mixture to the mixer and grind to smooth paste.
4) Butter Chicken Curry Preparation – In a vessel, add butter and a little oil, Kashmiri red chilli powder (2 – 3 tsps.), coriander (dhaniya) powder (2 – 3 tsps.), cumin (jeera) powder (2 – 3 tsps.) and stir it. Quickly add the paste to this, add some dried fenugreek (kasuri methi), garam masala (2 – 3 tsps.) and dry mango (amchur) powder. Add some fresh cream (3 – 4 tsps.) and mix. Add the fried chicken to this and mix well. Add a little sugar (1 – 2 tsps.). Mix and add a little water and salt. Cover and let it boil.
5) Smoking the Butter chicken gravy – Turn off the gas and place a small steel bowl on top of the curry. Heat the charcoal piece till it turns grey or red. Place the hot charcoal in the bowl. Add a little butter or ghee or oil to this charcoal and cover the vessel with a lid. Let it smoke for 8 to 10 minutes. Mix well the butter chicken well.
