It’s time for another great Puerto Rican recipe. This time it’s a nice hardy Puerto Rican Beef Stew.. a Carne Guisada. I make this one as taught to me by my dad and it is loved in my house. So go ahead and give this one a try I know you guys will love it!
Total Time: 1 Hour
Makes: 8-10 Servings
3lbs. Beef, Cubed
8 oz. Can Tomato Sauce
1 pkg. Sazon
3 Potatoes, Peeled and Cubed
1 Cup of Carrots (you can use baby carrots I prefer to chop my own)
4 Garlic Cloves, Diced
1/4 Cup Green Olives
1 Cup Cilantro, Diced
4 Tbsp. Sofrito ( Here is my recipe – http://youtu.be/s9IZT3v1P2Y )
2 Tbsp. Adobo
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Crushed Bay Leaves
Water (enough to cover the stew)
2 Tbsp. Canola Oil
