Hey guys, welcome to Smart cooking by Atithi. Hope you all are doing well!! Today’s special recipe is a very famous Chicken appetizer/starter from India, Chicken 65?
Chicken 65 is a deep fried spicy chicken dish, originating from hotel buhari, Chennai. This hugely popular South Indian appetizer/starter is made by marinating and frying chicken with magical Indian spices, flour and curry leaves. Chicken 65 is the best fried version of chicken- you’ll ever have!! If you are a chicken lover, then this is an ultimate dish for you!!! Super easy and most delicious starter at home✨

CHICKEN 65 ?

Ingredients:

For Marination:

400 grms Chicken-Boneless
2 Table spoons of fresh curd
2 tsp of black pepper
1 table spoon of Ginger Garlic paste
1 tsp of jeera powder
2 table spoons of Kashmiri red chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp of refined oil
For Deep Frying:
2 table spoons of rice flour
Oil- approx 300-400 ml

For tempering-

1 tsp refined oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp of black pepper (can be used more /less based on your taste)
4 green chillies (can be used more/less based on your taste)

Method:

Take a Mixing bowl, add chicken, curd, chopped curry leaves, black pepper, ginger garlic paste, jeera powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, oil and mix everything together (You can use orange red edible food colour however I am not using) and rest it for marination for 1 hour.
After 1 hr, add rice flour and deep fry it in medium flame.
Take a separate pan. Add oil, chopped garlic, green chillies, black pepper and sauté for a minute. Add the fried chicken and toss it for a minute. Serve as starter.

Serve for 2
Duration- 30 mins approx…
