Chicken Leg pieces – 1 kg
Salt – 1 tsp
Turmeric / Haldi powder – ½ tsp
Tamarind – 1 inch ball
Warm Water – ½ cup
Black Peppercorns – 1 ½ tsp
Cinnamon – 1 ½ inch stick
Cumin / Jeera seeds – 1 tsp
Cloves – 6 to 8
Ginger – 1 ½ inch ( finely cut )
Garlic – 12 medium cloves ( finely cut )
Green Chillies – 4 to 6 medium size ( finely cut )
Sugar – 2 tsp
Coriander / Cilantro leaves – 2 cups ( roughly cut )
Vinegar – 3 tbsp
( If Goan Vinegar is not available, Apple Cider or Palm Vinegar can be used )
Salt – 1 tsp
Cooking Oil – 3 tbsp

Notes: Serve the Chicken Cafreal hot with Bread / Potato Wedges, Lime & Salad
