Chicken hamonado or hamonadong manok is Filipino dish in which the chicken is marinated in some seasoning and deep fry until slightly golden brown. Then simmer in pineapple juice and sugar that makes this dish a bit sweet. Best serve with rice
Ingredients:
Marinate for 20 minutes
– 1kg chicken legs, cut into serving pieces
– 2 teaspoon lemon or calamansi juice
– 4 teaspoon fish sauce ( patis )
– salt and pepper to taste
– 1/2 chicken cube, crushed
– cooking oil
– 3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
– 1 1/2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
– 1 can ( 227g ) pineapple slice, including the juice
– 5 tablespoon sugar ( you can adjust the amount of sugar to your preference )
