Chicken Makhni Ingredients
To marinate the chicken
• 500 g boneless & skinless chicken (you can also use bone-in chicken)
• 3 tbsp thick yogurt/hung curd
• 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
• 2 tsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp garam masala powder (add as per taste)
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp oil
• 1 tsp Kasuri methi/dried fenugreek leaves (roasted and crushed)
For Makhni Chicken Gravy
• 2 tsp oil + 50 g butter
• 1 small onion, sliced
• 7-8 garlic cloves
• 1 tsp grated ginger
• 1-inch cinnamon
• 3 green cardamom
• 4 cloves
• 10 peppercorns
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp garam masala powder
• 2 tsp coriander powder
• 2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 250 g tomato, sliced
• 10 cashews
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 cup water
• 50 g butter
• 1 tsp sugar (add as per taste)
• 1/4 cup cream
• 1 tsp Kasuri Methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
Coriander leaves to garnish
