Chicken Nivedyam : Easiest Traditional Chicken Recipe/ Less than 10 ingredients
This recipe is quite famous in the Northern parts of Kerala especially Kannur, the land of Theyyam and Kaavu.
Ingredients :
1) Chicken : 12 – 15 pcs (Tiny pieces)
2) Onion : 1 Medium (Thinly Sliced)
3) Pepper : 5 – 7 Tbs (or more)
4) Turmeric : 1/2 Tbs
5) Salt : 1 Tbs (or more)
6) Water : 4 – 6 Tbs
7) Coconut : 1 No.
8) Curry Leaf : 2 Stem
9) Coconut Oil : 2 – 3 Tbs
Directions :
Mix ingredients from 1 to 6 and cook in low flame with lid on.
Add coconut when the chicken is cooked 90%.
Wait until the gravy is absorbed.
Off the fire.
Add slightly crushed curry leaves.
Pour raw coconut oil.
Enjoy the aroma!
Best served with Toddy or Kanji.
