Chinese Beef Ribeye Steak Recipe (Chinese Style Cooking Recipe)

Welcome to Xiao’s Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and learn new Asian/Chinese recipes.

Ingredients:
2 Ribeye Steaks
3 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Golden Syrup
1 Tsp Sesame Oil
4 Cloves Garlic
5g Ginger
1 Tsp Mustard
1 Tsp Chilli Sauce

Method:
1. Finely chop garlic and ginger and place in a small bowl
2. Add the soy sauce, golden syrup, sesame oil, mustard and chilli sauce in a small bowl, mix well
3. Tenderise the steaks, this is to allow the flavour to get into the meat
4. Place the steaks into a shallow dish, pour the sauce from step 2 onto steaks
5. Massage the sauce onto both sides of the steak – ensure even coating, cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours
6. Heat a pan over medium heat until hot, then add a Tbsp of oil
7. Place the steaks in the hot oil, then fry for 5 minutes each side
8. Remove onto a dish, serve with salad, chips or rice of your choice
