Chinese Smokey Bacon & Noodle Salad Recipe (Chinese Noodle Salad Recipe)
Welcome to Xiao’s Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes.
I made this to take to a friends party and everyone loved it. you can even use pasta instead of noodles, it’s equally mouthwatering!
Ingredients:
Half cucumber
2 tomatoes
1 red onion
1 tablespoon soy sauce
100g noodles
150g smoky bacon
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of vinegar
Small bunch of coriander
2 cloves of garlic
Method:
Thinly slice red onion
Slice tomato into thin slices
Slice and cut cucumber into thin threats
Place these in a mixing bowl for later
Peel and chop garlic
Roughly chop the coriander
Place these into the mixing bowl
Cut bacon into thin threads
Place on a dish for later
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan
Add the bacon to the pan
Fry for 5 minutes until golden and crispy
Remove from the pan onto a dish to cool
Boil 1 litre of water in a pan
Add noodles and boil for 5 to 10 minutes until its soft – the length of boiling time may vary depending on the type of noodles
Remove from the pan into a colander and drain
Place noodle under running cold water for 2 minutes and drain
Add salt to your taste into the mixing bowl
Add sesame oil, vinegar…and bacon onto the salads
Mix all ingredients together
Add noodles…soy sauce
Mix all ingredients together
Transfer onto to s dish and serve
