Looking for an elegant after dinner treat? Want to impress your guests with a fabulous dessert, even though it was easy to make? Then these Chocolate Cream Shots are for you! It’s a cross between Ganache and Panna Cotta, maybe a little pudding too… who needs to name it other than fantastic.
Ingredients:
500ml Heavy Cream (35% fat whipping cream)
1/2 Vanilla Bean split lengthwise, and scraped clean.
2/3 c Sugar
1 pkg Plain Gelatine
1 c Chocolate Chips (mix it up with milk and dark chocolate)
Method:
-In a heavy bottom pot scald milk with the vanilla bean.
-Once scalded remove from heat and discard Vanilla pod.
-Whisk in Gelatine and sugar.
-Let cool slightly.
-In mixing bowl pour 1/3 cream mixture over chocolate chips.
-Allow warm cream to melt chips (45-60 seconds) then whisk smooth.
-Add remaining cream, and whisk smooth.
-Allow to cool and place in fridge (covered) for at least an hour to chill and set-up.
-Remove from fridge and using a stand mixer whisk on high for 45 seconds, until smooth and fluffy.
-Pipe into serving bowls and serve.
