Desi Style Chicken Wings
Servings – 2 – 3
INGREDIENTS
Chicken wings – 500 grams
Red chili – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tablespoons
Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Oil – 2 tablespoons
Onions – 90 grams
Garlic – 1 teaspoon
Ginger – 1 teaspoon
Red chili paste – 2 tablespoon
Ketchup – 140 grams
Water – 110 milliliters
Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice – 2 teaspoons
Coriander – 2 tablespoons
All purpose flour – 160 grams
Corn flour – 70 grams
Cumin powder – 1 1/2 tablespoons
Coriander powder – 1 1/2 tablespoons
Garam masala – 1 1/2 tablespoons
Red chili – 1 1/2 tablespoons
Oil – for frying
Coriander – for garnihsing
PREPARATION
1. Take a chicken wing and make cuts on it. Do same with all.
2. Transfer it to a bowl, add 1 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mxi it well.
3. Marinate the chicken wings for 30 minutes.
4. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, add 90 grams onions and fry till translucent.
5. Add 1 teaspoon garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger and saute for 2 – 3 minutes or till it turns golden brown in color.
6. Then, add 2 tablespoons red chili paste, 140 grams ketchup and mix it well.
7. Now, add 110 milliliters water and stir well.
8. Bring it to a boil.
9. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoons coriander and mxi it well.
10. Cook for another 3 – 5 minutes. Keep aside.
11. In a mixing bowl, add 160 grams all purpose flour, 70 grams corn flour, 1 1/2 tablespoons cumin powder, 1 1/2 tablespoons coriander powder, 1 1/2 tablespoons garam masala, 1 1/2 tablespoons red chili and mxi it well.
12. Take a marinated chicken wing and roll it in all purpose flour mixture and coat it well.
13. Heat sufficient oil in a pot and deep fry these till golden brown and crispy.
14. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
15. Transfer this into a bowl and add the prepared gravy on it.
16. Mix it well.
17. Garnish with coriander.
18. Serve hot with ketchup.
