Dragon chicken! Crispy, golden strips of chicken in a sweet-spicy, lip-smacking sauce – that, in a nutshell, is dragon chicken for you! Hassle-free & easy to put together, this recipe can be a great accompaniment to a simple main course fare of stir-fried noodles or rice! So, go ahead & give it a try over the weekend!
Ingredients required to make Dragon Chicken:
200gms Chicken
½ tsp pepper powder
½ tsp salt
3 tbsp maida
2 tsp cornflour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp ginger powder
½ tsp pepper powder
1 egg
4 tbsp chilled water
3 tbsp oil
8 cloves
Chopped garlic
4 red chillies
½ sliced onion
Green & yellow peppers
3 tbsp chilli sauce
3 tbsp ketchup
2 tsp soya sauce
Salt to taste
How to make Dragon Chicken:
1) Take 200gms chicken & cut into 2-inch strips. Add ½ tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp salt. Mix & keep aside. Take 3 tbsp maida & add 2 tsp cornflour, ½ tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp ginger powder, ½ tsp pepper powder & an egg. Whisk the mixture. Add 4 tbsp chilled water . Whisk
2) Add the chicken & whisk. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
3) Fry on medium flame till crispy.
4) In a separate pan, take 3 tbsp oil & add 8 cloves, chopped garlic, 4 red chillies & ½ sliced onion. Sauté till slightly soft.
5) Add green & yellow peppers & sauté. Add 3 tbsp chilli sauce, 3 tbsp ketchup, 2 tsp soya sauce & sauté.
6) Add the fried chicken & sauté till the sauce coats the chicken pieces are well coated. Add salt to taste & sauté
7) Serve.
