Chicken is marinated in spices and then coated with gram flour and deep fried. It is a popular snack across the Indian subcontinent, especially in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Ingredients
For Chicken
2 boneless chicken breasts (cut in cubes)
1 tbsp ginger – garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 tbsp lime juice
½ tsp paprika powder
1 tsp cumin – coriander powder
1 tsp all spice powder
For Pakoda
1 onion (big, sliced)
3 green chilies (chopped)
1/3 cup gram flour
3 tbsp rice flour
4 green chilies
Salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
¼ cup water or as needed
½ tsp baking soda
Oil for frying
Method-
For Chicken –
1. Marinate chicken with salt, ginger – garlic paste, lime juice, paprika powder, cumin – coriander powder & all spice powder.
2. Rest for 30 minutes.
For Coating –
1. In a mixing bowl, mix together gram flour, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, sliced onion & marinated chicken
2. Mix with hand.
3. Add water gradually & mix until well combined.
4. Add baking soda & mix well.
5. Take a chicken cube & deep fry until golden brown, for 5 – 7 minutes in a medium high flame.
6. Serve hot & enjoy!!
