Chocolate Fudge – A Recipe By Annuradha Toshniwal (Vegetarian)
(Makes 16 squares)
INGREDIENTS-
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter
1 tin (400 gms) or 2 cups condensed milk
1/2 cup water
2-3 tbsp bread crumbs + 1 tbsp cocoa powder
METHOD-
Mix together the bread crumbs and 1/2 cup cocoa. Set aside. Boil the remaining ingredients together over low heat. Stir continuously. Patience is the key here. Cook till a drop in cold water forms a ball. Remove from heat. Sprinkle half the bread crumb-cocoa mixture on a greased tray. Spread the prepared fudge. 2″ thick. Top with the remaining bread crumbs-cocoa mixture. Leave to set. Cut when cold.
