Fried Tandoori Chicken with Potato Basket
Description:
Fried Tandoori Chicken is a popular Indian dish made with whole chicken marinated in a mixture of curd and spices.
Ingredients:
Whole Chicken-1
Ginger Garlic paste- 2 teaspoons
Turmeric powder- ½ teaspoon
Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder-½ teaspoon
Cumin powder -½ teaspoon
Garam masala -½ teaspoon
Kasoori methi 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice- 2 tablespoons
Salt – to taste
Yogurt -½ cup
Roasted Chana dal powder- ¼ cup
Water – As required
Potato- 3 number
Oil – to deep-fry
Method:
Firstly put gashes to the whole chicken and keep aside.
In a bowl add Ginger Garlic paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, kasoori methi, lemon juice, salt, yogurt and mix well.
Now marinate the chicken with the mixed masala and keep aside for 2-3 hours.
In the same bowl add roasted chana dal powder, salt and by adding some water make it like a paste then coat the chicken and keep aside for another few minutes.
For Potato basket:
Grate the potatoes squeeze out the water and shape like a basket as shown in a video, deep fry in oil and keep aside.
Now also deep fry the marinated chicken till it gets a nice color and well cooked.
Finally, serve chicken tandoori along with potato basket and salad aside.
