Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds chicken wings
2 Tbsp potato starch
1 tsp oil
oil for frying
2 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp minced fresh ginger
1 (12-ounce) can Olipop Ginger Ale
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1 Tbsp soy sauce
Garnish: sliced green onion
Instructions for sauce
In a small saucepan, melt butter over high heat. Add garlic and ginger; cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add Olipop Ginger Ale, honey, lime juice, and soy sauce; bring to a boil. Cook, stirring often, until thickened, about 30 minutes.
In a bowl, add chicken wings, potato starch, salt and pepper and oil. Mix until evenly coated.
In a pot of oil, set to 350f, fry your wings in batches for 7-8 minutes or until internal temp reached 165f. Let drain on wire rack until done with all the wings.
(Instead of frying, you could bake your wings at 400f in the oven.)
Place cooked wings and glaze in a large bowl; toss to coat. Garnish with green onion, if desired.
Enjoy!
