Healthy Fruit Smoothie Recipe | Protein Rich Phytonutrients Loaded Smoothie

My goal with this smoothie video is not to give a recipe on how to make a smoothie! I just want to get across same principle as I’m trying to get across on all my postings – find creative ways as per your own style , taste preference, budget and availability to increase fruit and vegetable intake!! That’s why I’m not giving recipes- make it YOUR STYLE AND TASTE instead.

As you can see in this video I basically just throw in the blender whatever fruit I have available- in this case pomegranate , dragon fruit and oranges. But you could just as well use apples, bananas, or whatever available seasonally and locally.

The advantage in making smoothies like this is you actually end up getting the whole fruits, not just the juice. How else would I manage to feed my kids 3-4 servings of whole fruit in one go.

As you can see I also add the nutrilite all plant protein and some cold pressed coconut oil. Other creative tips is add nuts , flax seed and chia seeds and all of a sudden you have quality proteins and fats added. Just experiment with this yourself but making healthy smoothies like this is one thing that really helps to get a nutrition loaded snack. Or some people even turn this into a meal.

Another thing is: I never ever add cows milk in my smoothies- read my article on cows milk and my views on milk consumption on my website –

If liquid needs to be added instead add ice cubes or water.
