Smoothie Ingredients
1 1/2 oz Mesclun
2 apples – chopped
1 tsp apple pie spice
1 tbsp flaxseed
2 tbsp almond butter
1 cup water, 1 cup ice

In addition to healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, flaxseed contains lignans, natural chemical compounds that have been studied as cancer fighters. Flax also has a nice serving of fiber. Because of all these benefits, as well as the fact that they create a creamy texture, flaxseeds are the perfect smoothie supplement! A serving of almond butter increases the creaminess, as well as the healthy protein factor. Add in some sweetness from apples and apple pie spice, and you’ve basically got a pie in a glass.
