Creamy Coconut Chicken Recipe:
Oil – 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – 1 Sprig
Green Chilli (chopped) – 2 nos
Onion (finely chopped) – 2 nos
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Chicken Curry Cut – 500 grams
Water – ¾ Cup
Coconut Milk – 1 Cup
Salt – ½ tsp
Black Pepper Powder – ¼ tsp
Fresh Cream – ¼ Cup
Coriander Leaves – For Garnish
Tempering:
Oil – 2 tbsp
Ginger Julienne – 1 tbsp
Curry Leaves – 1 sprig
Cooking Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, fennel, curry leaves, green chilli and let it crackle.
2. Add onion and saute till it turns soft and translucent
3. Add ginger garlic paste and cook it for a minute
4. Add the chicken, turmeric powder and saute for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add water, mix well. Cover and cook it for 10 minutes on a medium flame
6. Add coconut milk and salt, turn the flame to low and mix well.
7. Cover and cook mixture on a low flame for 5 more minutes
8. Add salt, black pepper, fresh cream and coriander leaves and mix well till the ingredients combine evenly.
9. Simmer it for 2-3 more minutes. Let the gravy start to thicken
10. Take it off the flame, serve it hot with steamed rice or any tiffin item
