#earlyfoodsrecipe Every once in a while, we crave for something sweet. So here we are to help you make those sweet craving a bit more healthy & nutritious. Sesame Jaggery Wheat Poli is an easy to make sweet dish that is filled with the goodness of til (a rich source of calcium) & Jaggery (a healthier & natural substitute to white sugar)

Ingredients
For the poli
-2 cups wheat flour (atta)
-1 tsp salt
-1 tbsp ghee
-Water

For the stuffing
-1 tbsp ghee
-1/2 cup sesame seeds
-1/4 cup grated coconut
-1/3 cup gram flour
-1 cup jaggery

Method of Preparation
For the Poli –
-Begin by mixing atta, salt & ghee in a bowl
-Adding enough water, knead to a smooth ball
-Add oil and knead for another 2 minutes
-Cover and keep aside

For the stuffing-
-Add ghee in a kadhai
-Add sesame seeds (til), grated coconut, gram flour.
-Roast for 2-3 minutes on a medium flame
-Remove from heat & let it cool
-Grind this mix to a coarse paste
-Add grated jaggery, cardamom to the ground paste
-Blend again to make the filling

To make the Sesame Jaggery Poli-
-Roll the stuffing into small balls and keep aside
-Take a ball of atta and roll it out to make a roti
-Place the stuffing ball in the center of the roti, seal & roll it out again
-Heat a tava
-Once hot, place the poli on it
-Applying ghee, cook on both sides
-Keep pressing the poli gently to ensure uniform cooking
-Serve warm
