Crunchy to the last bite, shortbread is a Scottish import making rounds of ovens around the world today!

Ingredients:
– 225 Gms all-purpose flour
– 150 Gms butter
– 60 Gms Icing sugar
– Butter paper
– White chocolate
– Butter
– Cream
– Whipped cream
– Chocolate sauce
– Plums
Method:
1) In a bowl, add all purpose flour, butter & icing sugar. Mix it well.
2) Once the ingredients are mixed properly, take the dough out of the bowl & place it on a flat surface to knead it.
3) Knead till you have made a smooth log out of the dough.
4) Take a sheet of butter paper & place the dough on it.
5) Flatten the dough.
6) Take another sheet of butter paper & place it on top of the flattened dough.
7) Roll it for a while using a rolling pin.
8) Use a cutter to cut round shapes into the dough. Place each round on the baking tray & bake at 180C for 20 minutes
10) Take out the baked pieces of shortbread & leave them aside to cool.
11) At this point, you can either go ahead & have them as it is or keep stored inside a container.
However, to make your shortbread skills go that extra mile, we suggest a grand garnishing. Here is what you can do-
1) Start by making a white chocolate ganache. For this add white chocolate, butter & cream in a single bowl. Microwave for 5 minutes.
2) Mix the whole thing with some whipped cream. Now pour the white ganache into a piping bag.
3) At the same time, keep some chocolate sauce & thinly sliced plums handy. Also, do not throw away the shortbread crumbs on your baking dish!
4) In a plate, place your shortbread & pipe in some of the white chocolate ganache on top.
5) You can further make patterns on the platter with your white chocolate ganache.
6) Similarly, make patterns of your choice with the chocolate sauce.
7) Place some plums & finish your garnish with the shortbread crumbs on the side.
The shortbread platter is now complete & ready to be served!
