Weber has plenty of portable grills to choose from with the Q range, but in my experience, their carts leave a lot to be desired. The Traveler is the first Weber gas grill that I would consider truly portable. The cart is sturdy enough and folds down to fit into the back of most SUVs. Most importantly, the grill can get ripping hot and gave great sear marks when I tested it out on a couple of ribeye steaks.

Weber did a great job designing a decently-sized portable grill that you can take with you to places like the park, a sports tailgate, and the campsite. With 320 square inches of cooking space, this grill is big enough to use as your home grill if you live in a condo and don’t have a lot of room, and because it folds down you can easily store it out of the way.
The large, durable wheels make it easy to traverse over obstacles like rock, mud, and grass with little effort.
The heat distribution is mostly good, and the cooking grates feel high quality and lock in for added stability. While some people would like an additional burner for greater control, I would only cook burgers, steaks, and hot dogs on this so I didn’t need it. If you want the option to cook low and slow then you should look at a two-burner option though.
If you enjoy doing anything in the great outdoors and have always wanted to bring delicious food to the table (pun intended) then the Weber Traveler is a no-brainer. Whether it’s at the lake, the park, the game or even at home, this is an enjoyable and functional gas grill that anyone can use.
